Today, more people than ever before are discovering the healing benefits of Chiropractic care. Chiropractic offers a holistic approach to treating ailments, pain and maintaining a healthy way of life. Often a Chiropractic Physician can even relieve pain and successfully treat health problems where other methods have failed.
Chiropractic Physician Dr. Steven K. Newton treats all of his patients with special care and understanding. He has a unique empathy for those in pain or disability.
At the age of 16, as a passenger in a terrible car accident, Dr. Newton suffered near-fatal injuries that left him in a coma for several weeks. Upon awakening from the coma, he was told that he would never walk again. Surprisingly, in time, he began to walk, but with a painful limp. He continued to receive medical and physical therapy while suffering from horrible constant pain for four years. Finally at the age of 20 a friend suggested Chiropractic care and the results were nothing short of miraculous. He was soon out of pain and no longer walked with a limp.
Inspired to become a Chiropractic Physician, Dr. Newton began the four years of pre-med required before entering Chiropractic college. He graduated in 1980 from The University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky as a Registered Nurse and specialized in Intensive Care Nursing. In 1988 Dr. Newton graduated with Honors as the Salutatorian of his class from Life University of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Newton studied physiotherapy at Brenau University in Atlanta, Georgia. He also attended Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky, where he studied under the renowned professor, organic chemist John L. Meisenheimer Sr.
Dr. Newton has been a Chiropractic Physician since 1988 and a Registered Nurse since 1980.
